joined the Morrisville Cat Hospital in August 2010. She started working in the veterinary field in high school doing kennel work. She attended North Carolina State University and majored in Zoology. While attending college, April began working at an emergency clinic in Raleigh. She continued to work there even after college and spent a total of 7 years there. April also spent a year at a research laboratory and a spay/neuter clinic. She has four pets total: 2 cats and 2 dogs. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, camping, traveling and baking.
Kennel Assistant Jack
has been with MCH since 2009. After retiring from a career in Human Resources management for a large US government contractor, Jack decided he would like to do something with his life-long wish to work with animals. When he and his wife Janice moved to North Carolina from Massachusetts, he opened a small dog-walking and pet-sitting business in Fuquay-Varina. His love of cats also led him to come to work at MCH. At home Jack has a cat named "Finnegan" and he enjoys working with all of the cats here. When he's not working with animals, Jack is also busy with his family and their five grandchildren.
is currently a student at North Carolina State University studying animal science. Chris will be graduating in the Spring with a BS in Animal Science and plans to apply to vet school to work towards his DVM. Chris joined the team at Morrisville Cat Hospital in August of 2009 and has been enjoying it ever since! He has been in the veterinary field for a number of years and primarily concentrates on working with cats and dogs. In his spare time you can find Chris hitting the books, on the racquetball court, or hanging out with his cat, Toto.
joined our team in December 2011 and is currently a technician here at Morrisville Cat Hospital. She graduated from N.C. State University with a degree Zoology and a minor in Film Studies. Kaeleigh has always been passionate about animals and has owned many different kinds of pets. She has volunteered at Noah's Landing previously and has been a foster for cats through JCAPL. She is interested in animal behavior and has a passion for animal care. She is a movie fanatic and an avid reader, as well as a video game enthusiast. Kaeleigh has two cats she adopted from Morrisville Cat Hospital named Chewy and Luke.
has been working at Morrisville Cat Hospital in different capacities such as boarding staff, receptionist and as a technician since 2005. She met Dr. Simpson while working at the Duke Lemur Center as a technician and has been a member of the team ever since! She has a BS in Zoology from NC State and a Masters in Primate Conservation from Oxford Brookes University. When taking time off from working in her field of lemur conservation in Madagascar, Megan enjoys coming back home to the clinic as she finds working with our patients to be very rewarding. She is lucky enough to have two cats, Elly and Tortellini, as part of her home!
joined our team in August 2014 as part of our boarding staff. She is currently a Junior at Panther Creek High School and is very interested in pursuing a career in the veterinary field. She has attended Pre-Vet summer programs at the NC Zoological Park and NC State University providing her with an introduction to the world of veterinary medicine. She has volunteered with Marley’s Cat Tales and Horse and Buddy Therapeutic Riding School. Lindsey also enjoys softball, sculpture, ceramics, and adores animals especially her cat Riesi.
is currently an undergraduate studying Animal Science at North Carolina State University. Originally from New Jersey, she moved down South to pursue a higher education and is loving the warmer weather! At NC State, she works as an pre-veterinary advising intern and coordinator for an internship with the local shelter. Vinita is also currently a foster mom for a dog and a few kittens with the Wake County Animal Center. In her free time, she loves to go sailing, play tennis, and eat ice cream.
has been with Morrisville Cat Hospital since August of 2013. She is attending NC State and is double majoring in Animal Science and Poultry Science. Jennifer is the Vice President of the Poultry Science Club and a Food Animal Scholar Alternate.
She has a passion for horses and livestock and wants to pursue food animal veterinary medicine after she graduates in the spring of 2017. During Jennifer’s spare time she enjoys riding horses, hunting/fishing, volunteering, and doing club activities with friends and family. Jennifer has been passionate about veterinary medicine since she was very young!
joined the MCH nursing staff team in October 2014. She has worked in the veterinary field since she was 16 years old.
She moved to North Carolina from Virginia shortly after completing her Animal and Poultry Science degree at Virginia Tech.
She has a love for a wide variety of animals but cats have always held a special place in her heart. She currently has 2 black cats at home named Terra and Vader. When Shawnee isn't working with cats, she loves to ride horses and scrapbook. She hopes to one day have a horse and a pond full of ducks.
